TAMS grant will cover up to 60% of solar installation costs for Irish farmers.
The Irish Government has announced that Irish farmers will be eligible for a new grant under the Targeted Agriculture Modernisation Schemes (TAMS). The grant will cover 60% of the costs associated with installing solar panel technology with an investment ceiling of €90,000.
Irish farmers will be able to apply for the grant as early as January 2023 and the Irish Government is hopeful the aid will make renewable energy more affordable for Irish farmers and their families.
The move sees the Government continue to aggressively work toward its goals to create a greener more sustainable Ireland as the Irish Minister for Agriculture, Charlie McConalogue, shared during the announcement that they have budgeted “€440 million for on-farm investments between 2021 and 2027”.
The sustainable energy experts at WattCharger predict that sustainable grants will continue to become more favorable to Irish consumers and businesses and we are happy to guide our customers and community through the grant processes.
